Inside Kadikama (KAD): Litecoin Foundations and RandomX Mining

Kadikama combines a familiar cryptocurrency foundation with CPU-friendly mining, a limited supply and plans for a more user-controlled trading system.

Kadikama is a new cryptocurrency designed for anyone who believes mining should remain accessible without requiring specialized equipment. Launched in July 2026, Kadikama operates on its own blockchain with a native coin, KAD, along with wallets, miners and a block explorer.

Rather than beginning entirely from scratch, Kadikama is based on Litecoin Core. This gives the project an established technical foundation while allowing its developers to change important parts of how the network operates. Kadikama is not a token running on Litecoin. It has its own rules, miners and transaction history.

The project’s most noticeable change is its approach to mining.

Designed for CPU Miners

Litecoin mining now depends heavily on specialized equipment. Kadikama replaces Litecoin’s mining algorithm with RandomX v2, which is designed to work efficiently on general-purpose computer processors.

The message placed inside Kadikama’s first block summarizes that goal:

Kadikama 19/Jul/2026 CPU mining belongs to everyone

CPU mining allows more people to participate using computers they may already own. It does not prevent large operations from running many processors, but it lowers the equipment barrier for individuals interested in mining and supporting the network.

Kadikama aims to produce a block approximately every 150 seconds. Miners currently receive 25 KAD for producing a valid block, and that reward is scheduled to halve every 840,000 blocks—roughly once every four years.

The eventual supply will approach, but remain slightly below, 42 million KAD.

A Launch Without a Premine

Kadikama says it launched without a premine, founder allocation or initial coin offering. Although its first block contains a 25 KAD reward, those coins cannot be spent.

This supports the project’s no-premine claim and means KAD enters circulation primarily through mining. More information about the earliest miners and initial block distribution would make the launch easier to evaluate, but its published supply model is simple and predictable.

Kadikama has also delivered much of the infrastructure a new cryptocurrency requires. The project has public source code, wallet software for major desktop operating systems, seed nodes, mining pools and a working block explorer.

That does not guarantee the project will succeed, but it shows Kadikama launched with a usable network rather than only a website and a list of future promises.

Modern Features From Litecoin

Because Kadikama uses a recent Litecoin Core foundation, it includes SegWit, Taproot and optional MimbleWimble Extension Block transactions, better known as MWEB.

MWEB gives users the option of making transactions with greater confidentiality. Kadikama is not private by default, and ordinary transactions remain publicly visible. The feature gives users an additional choice when transaction privacy is important.

Kadikama is also introducing KADDEX, a system designed to support trading while giving KAD owners more control over deposited funds. Its planned features include recovery options intended to reduce dependence on an exchange holding the main spending key.

KADDEX is an ambitious addition for such a young project. Its usefulness will depend on secure operation, dependable liquidity and continued testing as more people begin using it.

What Kadikama Still Has to Prove

Kadikama remains in its earliest stage. Its visible development community is small, its creators have not publicly identified themselves and the network has not yet built a long operating history. KAD also lacks the established trading activity needed to determine a dependable market value.

These are reasonable concerns for a newly launched cryptocurrency rather than evidence that the project has failed. Kadikama will need consistent development, broader mining participation and reliable network performance to build confidence among users.

Still, the project begins with a clear purpose. It combines Litecoin’s established foundation with CPU-oriented mining, a limited supply and optional transaction confidentiality. It has also delivered the tools needed to hold KAD, operate a node and participate in mining.

Kadikama has already progressed beyond being merely an idea. It is a functioning cryptocurrency network with an opportunity to form its own community and identity. What happens next will depend largely on whether its developers and miners can maintain that early momentum and give people practical reasons to use KAD.

More information is available through the Kadikama website and its official BitcoinTalk announcement thread.
